Free QR code generator.

Turn any link or text into a QR code. No sign-up, no watermark, and no tracking. Your code is made right here in your browser, so what you type never leaves your device.

43 / 84 characters

Emoji and accented letters use more than one character.

Larger sizes hold more text but need more space to print.

Higher levels still scan when scratched or partly covered.

How to make a QR code

  1. Enter your link or text

Paste a website address, or type any text. The counter shows how much room is left.

  2. Pick a size

Small codes are easy to scan from a distance but hold less. Choose a larger size for long links or messages.

  3. Generate and download

Save a PNG for screens and documents, or an SVG that stays sharp at any print size.

Questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. These are static codes: the link or text is stored in the pattern itself, so the code works for as long as it can be scanned. There is no account or subscription to lapse.

Are scans tracked?

No. A static code sends people straight to your link without passing through any server of ours, so nobody, including Grapevine, can see who scans it.

Which size should I choose?

Pick the smallest size that fits your text. Fewer squares means each one prints larger, which makes the code faster to scan, especially when it is printed small.

What is error correction?

Extra data that lets a code scan even when part of it is scratched, dirty, or covered. Medium suits most uses. Higher levels are sturdier but hold less text.

Can I change where the code points later?

Not with a static code. To change the destination, generate a new code. Shortening long links first keeps the code small.

Can I use these codes commercially?

Yes. The codes are yours to use on packaging, signs, menus, or anywhere else, free of charge.
